And so it begins…

This is one of the first photographs I ever put through an editor. Up to this point, I just posted what the camera captured. This photo was taken in October of 2018 in Cheyenne, Wyoming at the Cowboy Museum. While the photo was taken then, I shot for almost two years before trying to edit a photo, this one shows a date of January 11, 2020. Once I began editing, I knew that there would be no going back, but perhaps I will explain my whole process in a later post.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I am still uncertain of the destination or how to get there, but this will be a spot to share some of my thoughts and stories, methods and tips, or whatever comes up. I can also try answering questions you may have, feel free to ask. I may provide a little more detail on the Postcard of the Month, or other stories based on collections of images. As I said, I am not sure yet what this will look like and at the moment I am open to just being moved by the currants and the wind as I determine where it is I want to go. Sometimes to get clarity about where one wants to go, first you must get lost. Pardon my stumbles, missteps, and changes in direction. It is all part of the process as I continue to develop and refine my voice and style.
